Board Meeting

February 21, 2011

 

Held at The town clerks home

 

Meeting called to order by Roger Stewart at 10:30am

 

Present:  Roger Stewart Chairman, Joe Edlin 1st Supervisor, Lindsay Bergquist 2nd Supervisor, Patty Scharr Clerk, Sharon Stewart Treasurer

 

1.      Minutes for the January 17, 2011 meeting read by Patty.  Lindsay made a motion to approve the minutes, Joe seconded, motion carried.

 

2.      Treasurer’s report read by Sharon. The December 31, 2010, balance on hand $128,398.73, Deposits in January 2011 $127,351.51, Disbursements $142,892.36 for a total balance of $112,857.88 on January 31, 2011. The Money Market Balance as of January 31, 2011 was $7,950.72. This gives us a total asset balance of $120,808.60 on January 31, 2011.  Lindsay made a motion to approve the Treasurers report, Joe seconded, motion carried.

 

3.      Discuss Roads: A cottonwood tree will be cut down and some brushing done on Linder Lane.

 

4.      Bills for the month: Pepin area school PILT $151.91, Chippewa Valley vo-tech PILT $18.12, Pepin County Treasurer PILT $70.89, Pepin County Treasurer  Managed forest $107.97, Barry Terpstra tax overpayment $114.78, Anthony Waldara tax overpayment $71.00, Jon Steele tax overpayment $81.03, Election workers $368.51, Lund Fire Department $6,784.45, Pepin County Treasurer for February Tax Settlement $88,281.81, Pepin area school $180,883.76, Chippewa Valley Tech $21,579.25, The Kraemer Co $10,500.00, Pepin County Highway Department $4,362.66 and Durand Publishing $43.44 for a total of $313,419.58. Joe made a motion to pay the bills, Lindsay seconded, motion carried.

 

5.      Annual Audit was done. Lindsay made a motion to approve the 2010 audit, Joe seconded, motion carried.

 

6.      Lindsay Made a motion to rent a small storage facility from Pepin Mini storage at $300.00 a year for all of the old records for the Town of Stockholm Joe seconded, motion carried.

 

Next town meeting will be Monday March 21, 2011

 

Lindsay made a motion to adjourn the meeting, Joe seconded, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 11:20am.
