APRIL 11, 2008

Held at Lund Fire Dept.

Present: Roger Stewart Chairman, Joey Edlin 1st Supervisor, Lindsay Bergquist 2nd Supervisor, Pat Scharr, Clerk, Sharon Stewart, Treas.

Meeting called to order @ 6:00pm by Roger Stewart,

Minutes from the April 11, 2007 Annual meeting read by Pat. Joe made a motion to approve the minutes Lindsay seconded.

John Lawson spoke to the board regarding snowplowing.  He was wondering why his road does not get plowed as often as the other roads?  Joe stated that since Pepin County highway department took over the Pepin township roads he has also had poorer road conditions.  Joe asked if Roger would talk to Brunkow about it.  John & Nancy Lawson also expressed that they have excessive Rock being graded into their yard and ditches.  They are wondering if there is a sweeper or something that could be used to help get the rock out of the grass.  Roger will ask the county when they will be seeping the corners if they will or could sweep it out.  John would also like to have some Rock hauled the next time we are hauling.

Roger reported on the roads and what needs to be done this year.

1. The culvert on Edlin lane in the dip before the corner needs to be replaced.

2. Pleasant corner road need rock, the bank at the end of the road needs to be repaired & the big culvert by Schanilec lane needs fill.

3. Linder Lane by Stan’s driveway needs rock as well as Linder Court.

4. Moravian Road by the Cemetery needs to have the culvert fixed. (We were approved for county aid for this one).

5. Nelson Road needs rock & the little 18” culvert by Clems need replacing.

6. Orin Lane needs Rock.

7. Carpenter Lane needs rock & maybe a turnaround because the ladies leave their vehicles in the way so the snowplows can not turnaround.  The turnaround would be placed at the end of the town road.  Joe and Lindsay will talk to them about moving their vehicles before we make plans for the turnaround.

8. Boher lane also needs to have turnaround, the plow drivers are having trouble back their.  Roger will talk to Bill Bohrer about adding rock to his driveway or we will need to put thin the turnaround.

9. Westerberg lane needs to have brushing done again, the box elders need to possibly be excavated out if the funds provide so they don’t keep growing.

10.  Long Lane, the last bent has an 18” culvert is in need of replacement, the end of it is being run over.

Sharon requested that the town look at paying someone to help the clerk with the elections as they have just gotten to be a lot of work and impossible to get everything done when you have a full time job besides.

Patty thought that it takes about six extra hours to set up an elections the in the past & this year we have 4 elections.  The board discussed paying Cindy Bergquist if she will do it $10.00 per hour up to 30 hours a year to be appointed deputy clerk and take care of the elections set up.  Joe made a motion to approve Cindy as a deputy clerk for the election set up as discussed Lindsay Seconded.

The Financial Statement was handed out. No questions were asked.

Lindsay made a motion to adjourn Joe seconded. Meeting was adjourned at 6:50 pm.
