Board Meeting

August 18, 2008

 

Held at Lund Fire Dept.

 

Present: Roger Stewart Chairman, Joey Edlin 1st Supervisor,

Lindsay Bergquist 2nd Supervisor, Pat Scharr Clerk & Sharon Stewart Treas.

 

Meeting called to order @ 7:05pm by Roger Stewart

 

1.      Pat read minutes from the July 21, meeting. Joe made a motion to approve the minutes Lindsay seconded.

2.      Treasurer’s report read by Sharon; Total assets including MMDA on June 31 were $14,245.57 total deposits for July 10,988.16 total disbursements $8,078.56 for total assets on July 31, 2008 of $17,155.17. Lindsay made a motion to approve Joe Seconded.

3.      Road Discussion:   Roger went over the planes for the fall road work. No changes.

4.      Bills: Durand Publishing 24.00 and Pepin County Highway Department 2900.81.  Also included in the Pepin county Highway Department was the yearly bill for the mowing at Pepin Pava. Roger will figure this out and get back to me. Lindsay made a motion to pay the bills Joe seconded.

5.      Mary Ann Svoboda discussed the Smart Growth progress.  She has not received the results of the survey yet; the results are expected to be back by the middle of September.  She said that a lot of the people wrote on the surveys that they never know when the meetings are.  Mary Ann thought that the board should consider having the meeting notices and minutes posted on the web site.  The Stockholm Merchants association has a web site (Stockholm wis.com) they could add a page to the web site for a small annual contribution of $100.00.  This would save our township in the long run because we pay Durand Publishing a minimum 30.00 a month for meeting notices.  This would count as a posting locations for us so the add will be smaller in the paper saving money.    Joe made a motion to pay the Stockholm Merchants association $100.00 for the posting of notices and meetings and reduce the size of the adds in the paper.  Lindsay seconded.

6.      Remy Ceci came to let us know that she is running for state assemble, Barb Gronnemus is retiring. 

Joe made a motion to adjourn Lindsay 2nd Meeting adjourned 7:40 pm.
