Meeting called to order by Roger Stewart at 7:05pm

 

Present:  Roger Stewart Chairman, Joe Edlin First Supervisor, Patty Scharr Clerk, Sharon Stewart, Treasurer, Lindsay Bergquist.

 

1. Minutes from the June 25, 2009 meeting read by Patty Scharr.  Joe made a motion to approve the minutes Lindsay seconded.

 

2.  Mary Anne Collins-Svoboda handed out an update for thee Comprehensive Planning.  All the individual group meetings are done and they are ready to hold the last public meeting before the plan is brought to the board for approval.  The tentative date for the public meeting is set for Saturday Sept. 26, 2009 place to be determined yet.  As soon as the place and date are finalized, postcards will be sent out to all Stockholm residents. The document will be on the web site for all to review. 

 

3.  Treasurers report was read by Sharon Stewart. The May 30, 2009 balance on had was $30,823.77. Deposits in June were $2.21 and the Distributions were $3,881.00 for a total balance of $27,025.37 on June 30, 2009. The Money Market Balance as of June 30 is $5,781.61.  Total assets on June 30, 2009 were $32,806.98. Lindsay made a motion to approve the Treasurers report Joe Seconded.

 

3.  Road discussion: seal coating has been done and mowing is done.  The next thing will be the culvert on Edlin Lane when funds are available.  Joe and Roger were to the county meeting regarding road work through the county and the trip funds. They also looked at a used culvert that could be used on Edlin lane that would save a significant amount of money.  They also have another culvert that may fit on Bluff Lane.  Roger drove down Westerberg Lane to look at the ditch that Art Ritchie was concerned about people dumping in and the whole in the road they said was washing away.  Roger did not see anything of concern.

 

4.  Bills for the month: Durand publishing $182.75, The Horton Group Insurance $2,798.00, Galen Seipel for 2009 assessments $4,147.08, Jane Whiteside comprehensive planning supplies $224.92, WTA $50.00 annual dues Pepin County for First Dollar credit $6,460.02 & Lund Fire Dept for $897.52 annual dues. Joe made a motion to pay the bills Lindsay Seconded.

 

5.  Gary Wendlin came to show the board his planes for a campground along highway 35 just south of Stockholm, He says that he is still working with county to et the proper permits approved.  His plan is to sell the camp sites. 

 

6.  Lindsay made a motion to adjourn the meeting Joe seconded. Meeting adjourned at 8:45 pm.

 

Next regular town meeting will be 3rd Monday in September, no meeting in August.
